Patmos Island
Patmos main communities are Chora (the capital city), and Skala, the only commercial port. Other settlements are Grikou and Kampos. The churches and communities on Patmos are of the Eastern Orthodox tradition. In 1999, the island’s historic center Chora, along with the Monastery of Saint John the Theologian and the Cave of the Apocalypse, were declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. (more…)
Kalymnos Island
Kalymnos fourth largest island in the Dodecanese and located between Kos and Leros in the south-eastern Aegean Sea and belongs to the Dodecanese Islands prefecture. The name of the island used to be Kalynda then changed to Kalymna and finally Kalymnos. The most part of the population of Kalimnos Island has been occupied by catching sea sponges (last flotilla of hunters of sea sponges is based on island), now in a tourist infrastructure. (more…)
Rhodes Island
Rhodes is one of the most beautiful towns of the Mediterranean. As an ancient coin, it has two signs, one side is a fabulous medieval town surrounded by the ancient pinion walls, and the other one is a modern town with its noisy night life, wide streets, magnificent buildings and numerous shops. Symi Island
